Background

Six specific industrial gas organizations (for oxygen, acetylene, carbon dioxide, specialty gas, helium and hydrogen) are engaged in activities for their own member companies regarding technical and safety issues.
To meet the necessity and requirement of self-regulation of the industry resulting from worldwide globalization, a strong necessity arises in Japan for the estabilishment of a consoldated national association representing the industrial gas industry.
For this purpose, the six specific industrial gas organizations merge and establish an association, JIMGA.
