Six specific industrial gas organizations (for oxygen, acetylene, carbon dioxide, specialty gas, helium and hydrogen) are engaged in activities for their own member companies on technical and safety issues.
To meet the needs and requirements of the self-regulation of the industry as a result of worldwide globalization, a strong necessity has arisen in Japan for the establishment of a consolidated national association representing the industrial gas industry.
For this purpose, the six specific industrial gas organizations have merged and established an association, JIMGA. |

Nine regional head offices (for Hokkaido, Tohoku
Kanto, Tokai, Hokuriku, Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu) took their place in JIGA. |
